Meet The Coaches

Kim Service - Varsity
| Coach Service was named the head coach in the 2006 season. She returned to the Mill Valley volleyball program in 2005 after taking maternity leave for one season. She coached the JV team for 3 seasons prior to her leave and served as the assitant varsity coach in 2005. Coach Service brings a lot of coaching experience to the program. She was the head volleyball coach at Washington High School for two seasons. Also, she and her husband, Henry, run their own volleyball club, the Mizuno Blazers, out of Gardner. Coach Service played volleyball in high school at Shawnee Mission Northwest. She teaches French at Mill Valley.

Shannon Hermreck - Junior Varsity
| Coach Hermreck will be coaching the Junior Varsity team for the 2006 season. She has been coaching JV basketball for the past four years, and will be returning to the track coaching staff this year to coach sprints and relays, after taking two years off. Prior to coming to Mill Valley, Coach Hermreck spent three years in Wagoner, OK coaching Varsity and competitive cheerleading, and one year in Arkansas City, KS, coaching volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading. Coach Hermreck played volleyball and basketball, ran track, and was a cheerleader in high school. She played basketball at Pratt Community College for two years before going to Emporia State University . At ESU she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Education, majoring in Physical Education and English. She recently completed her Master’s of Art in School Leadership from Baker University . Coach Hermreck teaches 9th grade English, 9th grade PE, and Team Sports at Mill Valley .

Ashley Agre - Sophmore
| This is Coach Agre's first season coaching sophomore volleyball at Mill Valley. Her prior volleyball experience is playing at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and playing club for Sunflower Juniors. While in high school, Coach Agre played volleyball and softball. She attended Johnson County Community College and Emporia State University where she earned her B.S.E in Secondary Education, English. She teaches Junior Communication Arts and Freshmen Integrated at Mill Valley High School.

Amy McClure - Freshman
| Coach McClure is taking on her 5th season as the freshman volleyball coach at Mill Valley. Her teams have had winning records in each of her first three years. Prior to coming to Mill Valley, Coach McClure gained experience at Kennedy Middle School in Hays, KS, where she coached for 2 years, and at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, where she coached for 3 years. Besides volleyball, she has coached basketball, gymnastics and track. Coach McClure played volleyball, basketball and track in high school. She attended Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS, and received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. She is the Health teacher at Mill Valley.
